Week 15: Guaranteed Happiness

You have read and hopefully learned some great things out of this blog. It has occurred to me that perhaps I have painted this wonderful picture or life that is free from obstacles or challenges. Fortunately for us this is not the case and for good reason. The previous posting indicated that you could create any condition in your life that you desire and do so by extinguishing those thoughts that are being sown that are contrary to our desires. This is a very important subject and I would like to play on it some more and add some additional insight.

Would you believe that the negative conditions and thinking in your life are the key to your happiness? Hard to believe isn’t it? It’s true and in fact it’s law. We have determined up to this point that our thoughts and feelings create our results. The negative thoughts and conditions are there to serve us with the right perspective. Every condition that occurs in our life is there for our benefit even the negative. Haanel states in Week 15 difficulties and obstacles continue to come until we absorb their wisdom and gather form them the essentials of further growth. Clearly, the reason for our difficulties and obstacles is to create growth within us. Through our training in the course it has become evident that as the “observer” when we face difficulties and obstacles it’s time to observe more closely our thoughts which created these conditions.

Og Mandino enlightens us on a new perspective with difficulties and obstacles by saying “I have been given eyes to see and a mind to think and now I know a great secret of life for I perceive, at last, that all my problems, discouragements, and heartaches are, in truth, great opportunities in disguise.” It was easy for me to get bent out of shape when not so ideal conditions appear in my life. As a result of this course I now have a completely new perspective on challenges and embrace them. Extracting from each experience what we require for our growth ensures us happiness and harmony. If you reflect on all the wonderful experiences that have come into your life it is evident that there was a measure of growth that has come to get you to that point. The universe we live in has been orchestrated and designed in such a way that we can be happy regardless of our circumstances because it is a matter of thought. Declare now to be happy and with this decision go about the day acting as a happy person, feeling happy and the results are guaranteed.

Week 14: Extinguish Any Problem Immediately

Our thoughts create the conditions in our life. An individual is a direct reflection of the thoughts that the person has entertained. Since conditions are produced by thought they can be changed by thought. A problem is a condition in our life that we are displeased with. Acknowledging the fact that thoughts create conditions the previous sentence indicates that our thoughts have created our problems.

“WRONG! I did not get myself into this financial mess it’s the economy.” I beg to differ that it is the economy that has created your problems. Would you believe me if I told you that even in todays economy there are people that are receiving or preparing to receive the greatest transfer of wealth in history? Would you believe that during the great depression there was a historically high number of millionaires created? These things are possible by the way people think and are true.

According to the Law of Growth whatever we think about grows. If we are constantly thinking about how bad things are, how bad they are going to get and that everything is unfair than that chain of thinking will grow. It will continue to grow and will become our predominant mental attitude. Guess what happens when it becomes the predominant mental attitude? You start being, doing, and having what your predominant mental attitude is derived of. You start manifesting all of those thoughts about how bad things are and everything is unfair.

“You’ve told me how my problems come about but how can I extinguish them?” A fire extinguisher puts out a fire by starving it for oxygen with the extinguishing agent. Extinguishing any problem works much the same way. If you fill your mind with positive thoughts that are focused on the ideals you wish to create you are withdrawing or starving negative thoughts and conditions. This practice is the Law of Substitution which states that we cannot think about two things at the same time. You are turning from the negative thinking and your thoughts are now directed upon positive ideals you wish to create. As you focus on the ideals you want in your life there will still be some of the problems present but as the Law of Growth initiates on the positive ideals you will create those conditions.

Many members of the Master Key course have experienced this changing effect in their lives including myself. Each day we focus upon our “definite major purpose” amongst many other things to create ideals in our minds. The results have been astounding as people are sharing experiences of the conditions they are creating. In a “down economy” my business has had rapid growth and continues on that path. Incredibly none of this was my experience until about three months ago when the Master Key course commenced. Enjoy life through the power of thought and know that you are a powerful unlimited being.

Week 13: Boycott the New Years Resolution

Everything that we enjoy, use and see is the result of someone’s dream. They took thought from the ideal to manifestation and we now have this in our world. New Years day is around the corner and everyone has started to determine a resolution. Weight loss, prosperity, and better health are all on the minds of people around the world for a new life in a new year. Most everyone except the Master Key students will have a New Years resolution that will soon again be unfulfilled.

We are now half way through the course and have been working diligently on personal improvement and growth. Our process of changing our lives began three months ago and it has been a very rewarding journey. What I have realized is that you don’t have to wait until new years to create a new life. We have been building the foundation for our new year because as the new year starts we are taking part of a total makeover. The new coming year I am more confident than ever that it will be different than any other I have ever had. The Master Key’s state in week thirteen that “thought will bring about conditions in correspondence with the predominant mental attitude” which clearly indicates why I am positive about the changes for the coming year.

A new year without a resolution is a change for me and confident anticipation of my results will also be different. Creating the habit year after year of setting a resolution and then a short time later getting back to my old conditioning is not very promising. My mental attitude has created positive change as seen in the results that have come about in the last three months. With three more months left in the course and starting a new year with new knowledge the results are to be spectacular.

Week 12: Observer

Throughout this Master Key course we have been instructed to become “the observer.” What? Are you kidding me, what do you mean, become the observer? That was my kind of thinking until recently I discovered what is meant by becoming the observer.

Haanel teaches in the Master Key’s that we are more than a body, a name, a profession, or whatever label we attach to ourselves. We are spiritual and all of our true power lies within ourselves. That is a deep concept if you really start to think about it and as I have discovered it is far more powerful than a label that we attach to ourselves. In seizing the idea that we are spiritual there are other components that are part of us, such as thoughts and feelings. We have compiled together all of these things about us including our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, actions, and results. The compilations of these things are what we have determined to be who we are. There is a greater part of us which controls and directs our body and our mind. This part of us is spiritual and that is the source of our real power.

Becoming the observer simply is to separate ourselves from our thoughts and emotions and to notice them without judgment. You are looking at your life through different eyes, through spiritual eyes. Separating ourselves from our thoughts and emotions drops the labels that we associate with who we are. Moving us into a higher plane in life and then realizing our true power.

When having thoughts that are negative or contrary to the abundant and powerful beings that we truly are and than observing them they become weaker and there is a peace within us. Taking control of you from within in such a manner controls the world without. This is the power I have been referring to and as Haanel states “you will have become irresistible; men and things will respond to your every wish without any apparent effort on your part.” Being the observer provides you the ability to realize that you are much more than your thoughts and feelings.

Our thoughts and feelings create our actions and results. By observing negative thoughts and feelings they begin to dissipate because you realize that those are not you. This eliminates the emotional charge that we have on such negative thinking and in turn that thought is not producing undesirable results because it is not carried on with emotional charge. In dissipating the negative thoughts the Law of Substitution comes into play and new positive thinking takes place of the negative. These positive thoughts lead to positive feelings, beliefs, actions and what we are all after positive results.

Thanks to such wonderful mentors Mark and Davene for pounding home consistently to become the observer. If they had given in on the idea the first couple of weeks than it is quite possible that I may never would have realized where my true power lies. They came to that realization and now I understand why they continually stated it. Now I will continue on the effort that they made because of my realization and so I say be the observer.

Week 11:Quickly Multiply Results

What you identify tends to multiply! Such a great statement that came clearly and piercing my mind. It pierced my mind because whatever we give our attention to tends to multiply in our life. Great news isn’t it, or is it? Great news if you are using the Law of Growth to your advantage. This past week I found that the Law of Growth is unwavering in what multiplies as the result of my thoughts, feelings and actions. Fortunately as a result of this new-found knowledge I discovered how the law is working positively in my life as well as negatively.

The Law of Growth states that whatever we think about grows. As we have learned over the past eleven weeks our thoughts ultimately lead to our results. If we are thinking on how bad things are whether that’s in our finances, business, relationships, or health than those thoughts multiply into similar thoughts and eventually manifesting in our results. The good news is that the things that are going right in our life are partly due to using the Law of Growth correctly. In other words, thinking good thoughts on the aspects of our life and those thoughts compounding other thoughts leading to our results.

We have been diligently working on a mental diet for a seven-day time period. By completing this diet we will have planted quality seeds with our minds that enables the Law of Growth to bring into our lives the results we desire. This has been challenging for most of us but the reward will be worth it’s weight in gold. Coming to the realization that my thoughts are planting the seeds of my results has been life changing. Now I can consciously plant better seeds to create the effects I desire.

Week 10: Faith in Accomplishment

Everything that happens in our life is the result of a definite cause. Plans and objectives can be put in place and with precision situations can be controlled to bring causes into play. Our Universe is governed by Natural Laws which control the physical world. Every second of every day we are planting seeds that will bring about effects into our lives. The seeds are thought which link our physical world to the Universal spiritual world. As we think thoughts that are in harmony with the spiritual world we bring about the effects we desire. However, thoughts that are of worry, fear, doubt, lack and other negative thinking brings about an effect that isn’t desired.

The Natural Law that states for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction is the Law of Cause and Effect. We can use this law to our advantage by complying with it appropriately. As we focus our thoughts, feelings, and actions on those things we desire to manifest in our physical world than the effect is that manifestation. How does this apply to the Master Key course?

Each day we engage in exercises to control the cause in our lives. We control what is going on within us which is the cause of our effects. The exercises help us to control our thoughts, feelings and actions to be in alignment with our desires and complying with the laws of the universe. An example of this in my own life comes as a result of being diligent with the exercises.

Prior to the Master Key course I would set a goal or purpose and then begin working towards it starting in the outer world. Taking action and it was desperate action because of the pressure I put on myself to accomplish my purpose. It seemed that no matter what I did I would become discouraged and lose faith that it was possible to achieve my purpose. With the exercises the focus is working on the inner world first. By changing my thoughts and feelings the actions I take have created dramatic results. Best of all I have faith that my purpose is accomplished by the date I have set in place. Thanks Mark and Davene!

Week 9: Laws of the Mind Change Conditions

Have you ever read self help books, attended self help seminars, listen to the self help guru’s on CD? What change has it made in you life? The Master Key System explains “If you wish to change conditions you must change yourself.” These self help tools can all be great for change. However, they must change the most important factor in our lives and that lies within ourselves. Most often these changes don’t take place by simply reading a book, attending a seminar, or listening to a CD. The change must occur in the programing of our minds through our thoughts.

The majority of my life I have had a great deal of interest in becoming better and learning the techniques and strategies to changing my life to become better. Small victories have occured for positive change but nothing has been as tremendous as the change to my thinking. Substituting my negative thoughts throughout the day with the affirmation “I can be what I will to be” has begun to bring about great change. In additon to all of the bombarment of positive information I am feeding my subconsciuos mind.

Our thoughts create the conditions in our lives. So if we hold in our minds the conditions that we desire in our lives as already existing the effect is absolutely to manifest in the material world. Nothing is more impactful in creating change than substituting our negative thoughts with positive thoughts this being called the Law of Substitution. As we focus upon our ideal conditions in life the Law of Growth magnifies these ideal conditions and more ideal thoughts will follow thereby attracting to us these conditions.

Week 8: Do you manage yourself? If not you’re losing $86,400 per day.

Winners manage themselves and it’s easy to see why. Most people would be happy to have $86,400 deposited into their account everyday. In fact, everyone does have this deposit come into their bank. The bank of time deposits 86,400 seconds into our day, everyday. How are you investing these seconds?

I wondered that myself when I was first introduced to this concept. Are you investing or even wasting these precious seconds that can be used to change lives, build relationships, and be of service to others by watching TV? I hope not! I found myself in this cycle of wasted time and actually referred to it as “killing time.” Fortunately or unfortunately we don’t know how long we have on this earth and our time should be used preciously. Is it easy? Not at all! Is it worth it? I am striving to find out but I do know that the idea of it is worth it.

I challenge you to take a dream board and place it in front of the television. That way when it comes time to watch TV you can tell your spouse or children “Come on in family, I’ve set our dreams aside so we can watch some TV.”

Mark Januszewski a top pin level in one of the fastest growing network marketing companies life changed when a mentor of his told him to grab some scissors and cut the cords on his TV. We are all cutting our cords this week in a non literal sense and anticipating the positive impact.

Don’t set your dreams aside so that you can invest your precious seconds numbing yourself in front of the television. How will you answer to your kids or grandkids when they ask: “What were you doing when the time was right, the opportunity was right, to fulfill your dreams?” For me that day will never come where I will answer “watching TV, that’s why I haven’t lived a great life to its potential.” We can live a life of example or warning. I choose to live my life as an example so that my kids and grandkids will see what I was doing when my dreams came true. As Ralph Waldo Emerson says “What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.” Make it so I can’t hear what you say!
